A steady sea and powerful breeze, offered postcard-perfect racing conditions and it was busy onboard for the crews, a lot of action, close racing, close crosses and exciting starts.

It was a day of victories, with two different winners taking the spotlight. V secured its second race win of the event, while Bullitt claimed its first triumph.

With the leaderboard tightening and just one final coastal race remaining, the stage is set for an intense finish. It's all to play for on the last day of the Maxi Regatta [Tuesday 25 March].

Joca Signorini, Tactician Bullitt, “Today on Bullitt we had a good day, especially on the second race, we used to say that if you go out racing and sailing today and you don’t like it, it’s better to play basketball or volleyball! Because it can’t really get better than this.”

Ken Read, North Sails President and Tactican on V, “Wow what a day! We got a 1-2 today, it was as good a day as you can have in Grand Prix sailing. If you didn’t like today, you’re in the wrong sport, you’re barking up the wrong tree. The conditions, the breeze, 18 – 20 knots, flat water, 100-footers that all go the same speed, sailed immaculately, it was perfect. So we are really really pleased and it was just a hell of a day out there!”
